What was the highlight of Sunrise Champs Hostel

Large rooms, clean and good value. 5 min walk to markets.

An excellent value hostel, my room had 2 double beds and a private shower, plus TV, aircon and mini fridge. The location is convenient, only 5 minute walk to the night markets, but approx 2km from train station. The place is secure, with a code entry and it's really quiet at night time. Perfect for a good rest.

Good value for money

Management quite flexible and easy going despite not meeting anyone of them. Instructions texted were clear and any queries were quickly dealt with through whatsapo communication.

We did not get to meet any staff. All communication is through whatsapp including payment. No kettle for boiling water but we were given access to cups of muneral water.

Great location for car user as a huge free car parking just stone away

Loved the "do it yourself" concept start from the check-in through the checkout process, as I never met the staff in person but the communication is smooth and the information provided was sufficient.

What was the highlight of Sunrise Champs Hostel

Reasonably priced and in the heart of the town

Reasonable price and near the town centre.

Dampness in the room was somehow horrible. Strong artificial smell to hide strange smell in the room. No facilities to make coffee or tea, and common area where we can sit down and have coffee which is not correct for the description of the place. We did not have much contact with the owner.

Good value for money

Great location, room just as shown in picture, most of the stuffs needed provided, convenient self check in and check out. The owner is very communicative through wechat and very friendly

No stairs, and we are given the highest floor of room died dragging big luggage up and down. The laundry area is very, very small with no hangers given.

Location is good near the night market.

Pictures is more different than the real room, having security problems, and beds is not clean, air conditioner leaking of water and sound proofing is bad.

The room was so great!

The room was so great! Really comfy bed and good size, especially the bathroom. The shower was so warm and the water pressure was amazing. The Wi-Fi was incredible! Good location, bit far to walk from the train station as we couldn't work out the buses but was still good near the shops and restaurants. Self check in was well explained prior to arrival including how to find the b&b

There was a delay in the room being ready and checking in as it hasn't been cleaned from the previous guests. However the owner and staff were very helpful and apologetic trying to clean and get the room a quick as they could.

Enjoyable first time in Hualien. Valued helpfulness of hosts.

Owners really helpful with questions re public transport options & trying to find local vegetarian food. Room was well supplied, plentiful water, slippers, toiletries. Loved the reusable quick drying towels.

Location a bit far for accessing train & bus stations. Room & bathroom walls could do with a good scrub.

Fully self-check in.

The towel provided is not really nice to use. The place was hard to find, it's actually situated inside an alley. Car park should be hard to find.

-the floor was not very clean when I arrived but still ok for me.
